Showing / Hiding entries and changing their position within File Explorer required only a couple registry changes. For example, in Windows 8.1 I moved the "Libraries" entry to the very top entry, and added the Recycle Bin as the very bottom entry. I can't seem to find any entries in the registry that correspond to "Quick access" in Explorer in Windows 10. Does anyone know how to remove/hide this entry?
Is there anyone that has been able to figure out how to remove Quick access from File Explorer? I've scoured the registry as best I can looking for any traces, but was unsuccessful. I tried playing with Resource Hacker to find the Quick access icon, and I did find it (shell32.dll - [icons:1006-1026], [icon group:51380]), but I don't know how that translates to an actual text string I could search for in the Registry. Just for the hell of it, I changed every occurrence of "System.IsPinnedToNameSpaceTree" to "0", and the most this does is make Quick access disappear when you pin a folder to it, but as soon as you open Explorer again, Quick access is back. Anyone else want to try a crack at this?
