I'm using win8 pro. Whenever I run a program, win8 pops up a small dialog saying "...requested operation requires elevation. " and it gives me 2 choices: run as Administrator and Cancel. I went to UAC and chose 'never' and my account is administrator who is a member of administrators. This popup is really annoying and I don't want to be asked any more. How can I do that? Thank you.

There is something wrong with your installation then because only programs requesting administrator privileges trigger that popup, not every program. You should probably run a system file check and/or virus scan.

I don't think this is a malware problem... try changing UAC settings... if doesn't work try sfc /scannow in elevated cmd

I thinking you are using user account with limited privilegies.
Admin account never had this questions.

You could change the shortcuts of programs to "run as admin" if you right click on them and go into properties.

he is saying that his programs are automatically asking for elevated permissions... not that he wants to set a program to run as admin
