Disable SkyDrive/OneDrive?

    Hi Is it possible to disable/turn off this skydrive forever in windows tnx in advance

    Disable OneDrive

    Run : gpedit.msc

    Local Computer Policy\Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\OneDrive
    double click : Prevent the usage of OneDrive for file storage , select Enabled and then click OK.

    Can you still use it manually that way, I just do not need it running with my PC every startup as I do not use very often?

    Thanks, I was wondering how to disable it permanently.

    Mine was labeled as SkyDrive.

    Local Computer Policy\Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\SkyDrive

    SkyDrive was till Windows 8 and MS changed that to OneDrive in Windows 8.1!;)

    I'm running Windows 8.1 Enterprise though.

    The OneDrive name is only available on Windows 8.1 Update. The RTM version of 8.1 will show it as SkyDrive.
