Hi guys, I have a fresh Windows 10 Enterprise installation and I have disabled automatic updates through gpedit, the problem is, Windows needs to check for updates once in order to apply changes, and by doing this, it will download a few drivers that are old and give me issues. So, does anybody know how to disable updates without the need for updating once?

Unplug from the network before the download happens?

use wushowhide.diagcab to hide the driver updates first.

Tried that, didn't work. It stops, but once I connect to internet, it just resumes download.

Disable Network card/wifi (Win+X menu > Network Connections)
    apply gpedit change
goto WU and click check, it should give error and button Retry shown

^^^ That's the ticket .... I first noted it and credited to DWS, open source script ..... M$ needed to add this trigger as many would not touch windows 10 without it. Some require to systematically follow the installs and changes to their hardware so they can easily track down causes for problems as they arise. Someone else with this control throws a wrench into everything.
