ghacks.net/2015/03/22/how-to-disable-specific-global-hotkeys-in-windows/ Anyone knows how I can do this? the anniversary update has messed up with it, and I can no longer disable certain Hotkeys I want.
I am guessing you found an answer or did you make an useless post telling me to google what I've already googled?
Enterprise / Embedded / IoT only. And I guess Education, but as this is a special none GA Edition it's out of my view to analyse things.
It's added to Pro as well, along with most or all other Enterprise specific packages but i'm not sure or tested if they work correctly and don't require Enterprise license, even on Pro edition
What am I missing? You can’t just ignore them or are you wanting to do some reassigning but that's been prevented?
I thought so Pro no longer can be upgraded to Ent, only Edu and the end user is supposed to figure why an available feature is not working on his Pro
Okay? Didn't test it but spp folder has Enterprise Sku in it, so why not Upgradeable? - Seems to be some last minute decision.
It consists of a service and a kernel-mode driver (kbldfltr.sys). The kernel-mode driver is necessary because no user-mode process can directly access keyboard devices or filter raw input (e.g. Ctrl+Alt+Del). Anyway, the service appears to use the SLGetWindowsInformationDWORD call to query the license value, so patching it should be trivial.
Ah okay, that makes sense, so technically (on file base) you install enterprise with all mentioned editions. just the system license / tokens.dat SKU changes with the right key so features gets unlocked. It's really time to come up with some ProductPolicy reg-key glitching.
The ability to disable win keys for sure. If I got this right, now it is possible only with Ent/Edu editions.
Was Keyboard Filter available in Pro? Or do you man the regular Policy? "NoWinKeys"? - This one isn't working for some while. Btw. I did a new Version of Visual Boot Experience (BCD) Settings (but didn't publish yet). But I guess some of the values are just broken by Microsoft and don't work since 8.1 / 10?
Ah! So, this trick still worx? Can't check it myself right now, busy with Linux atm. -- Update: yes it still works. -- IDK, I can say the trick to show the boot options screen (F1-F10) seems to be working. I have it enabled on my secondary PC. Have not tested the spinning logo and messages. In Windows 8.1, everything works.
Yeah I upgraded to Enterprise a while ago and couldn't upgrade to the anniversary version turns out it was a program I had, but you definitely cannot go back to pro after going to enterprise, from what I know. msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/mt587088%28v=vs.85%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396 Requirements Windows 10 Enterprise or Windows 10 Education. Well, I guess I miss out on this feature. Thanks a lot for the answer, weird I didn't find this on google. Doesn't work for me, on the anniversary update.
