Hello, Im wanting to know how if there is a way to completly disable and/or Remove windows Defender, I hate it with a passion lol, i know u can go into setting and turn the stuff off but i want it gone lol.
GPO “Computer Configuration,” “Administrative Templates,” “Windows Components,” “Windows Defender” or in Autounattend.xml disabling directly with windows installation this will completely disable Defender ... removing its not possible i think
Also, if you install any Antivirus program, like say, Avast, Windows Defender is disabled automatically.
As a matter of fact, you CAN remove defender completely if you really want to. You need to take ownership of a few reg keys and program folders, then delete those, then remove the namespace link in the Control panel and the start menu link. Look around on the internet but you need to know what you're doing.
If you want to remove Windows Defender permanently then you need to remove the related packages from install.wim so that when you do a clean install you won't find any traces of it. You can do it manually using the install_wim_tweak.exe and Dism tool or You can use my ToolKit which you can find it in my signature. You can also remove OneDrive too completely.
