This is just a mental experiment that impressed me much.

    Imagine:

You are sitting on a chair, on the right hand side there is a second chair.

    Now remove your left arm.
I’m sitting on a chair and this is my left arm.
Now put your left arm onto the other chair and make clear:
I’m sitting here. Over there, on the other chair I’ve put my left arm.

Go on, remove your right arm.
I’m sitting on a chair and this is my right arm.
Now put your right arm onto the other chair and make clear:
I’m sitting here. Over there, on the other chair I’ve put my left arm and my right arm.

Go on, remove your right leg.
I’m sitting on a chair and this is my right leg.
Now put your right leg onto the other chair and make clear:
I’m sitting here. Over there, on the other chair I’ve put my left arm, my right arm and my right leg.

Go on, remove your left leg.
I’m sitting on a chair and this is my left leg.
Now put your left leg onto the other chair and make clear:
I’m sitting here. Over there, on the other chair I’ve put my left arm, my right arm, my right and my left leg.

Go on, remove your left kidney.
I’m sitting on a chair and this is my left kidney.
Now put your left kidney onto the other chair and make clear:
I’m sitting here. Over there, on the other chair I’ve put my left arm, my right arm, my right and my left leg, my left kidney.

Go on, remove your right kidney.
I’m sitting on a chair and this is my right kidney.
Now put your right kidney onto the other chair and make clear:
I’m sitting here. Over there, on the other chair I’ve put my left arm, my right arm, my right and my left leg, my left and right kidney.

Go on, remove your entire thorax, throat included
I’m sitting on a chair and this is my thorax.
Now put your thorax onto the other chair and make clear:
I’m sitting here. Over there, on the other chair I’ve put my left arm, my right arm, my right and my left leg, my entire thorax (kidneys and throat included).

Go on, remove your head except the brain.
I’m sitting on a chair and this is my head.
Now put your head onto the other chair and make clear:
I’m sitting here. Over there, on the other chair I’ve put my left arm, my right arm, my right and my left leg, my entire thorax (kidneys included) and my head.

Go on, divide your brain into two parts.
I’m sitting on a chair and this is my other half of my brain
Now put one half of your brain onto the other chair and make clear:
I’m sitting here. Over there, on the other chair I’ve put my left arm, my right arm, my right and my left leg, my entire thorax (kidneys and throat included), my head and one half of my brain.

Where am I if I would move the second half of my brain onto the other chair as well?

    OMG I’m not existing…………..where am I???:eek::D

Conclusion: 'I' is just illusionary, an imagination.

Once one has realised that, life isn't what it was before...

Yes, and even better, the chain of conclusion doesn't stop there.
Since the world consists of individuals, of I's............
there are no he, she, it, we, they, your, yours, our, ours, their......... ;)

    Yes but . . .

Among other things, Yen, what you are affirming is that you are not your body.

But . . . if you accept the axiom that a thing cannot, at once, be the subject and an object, when you describe yourself, who is describing whom?

Exactly that's the question and that's why there is no "I", I'd say (oxymoron alert)...

And there is another aphorism: the answer is where the question hasn't been asked yet...

I’m neither the keyboard nor the mouse, who am I?
I’m neither the monitor nor the PC, who am I?
I’m neither the window nor the door, who am I?
I’m neither the workroom nor the tree outside, who am I?
I’m neither the clouds nor the sky, who am I?
I’m neither the streets, nor the buildings, who am I?

I’m neither my arm nor my legs, who am I?
I’m neither my brain nor my heart, who am I?
I’m neither my body nor anything else except my body, who am I?
I’m neither everything nor nothing, who am I?

The beholder can never be the thing to behold.

The reason is located where the idea of an 'I' has its source. Before any other thought will follow the idea of an 'I' is always first.
