I am wondering if anyone who has applied for a discover card if you have been asked to fill out an IRS 4506-t form? If yes, what is the purpose of it or is it a scam?
I have two cards from Discover, and never heard of that one before. https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-4506-t It's a "request for transcript of tax return" form. If you fill that out and send it to "someone" then "someone" can use it to get a copy of your tax returns. Sounds scammy to me.
I agree with you but I called back discover from the phone number displayed on their website and they verified it was them. I still have reservations about it. Would you? thx
Between the 3rd party issue and the negative reviews about not getting a $75 reward credit from amazon, I just cancelled it. A person cant be too trustworthy these days especially with all the scams going on caused by the coronavirus.
