KDE 4 is much more stable. Debian prioritizes stability. The Debian team should make some alterations during the week / month. (Debian 8.X, 1, 2 ,3)
Man, like I said, Debian has the proposal to be stable. So you will not find the same features that a Manjaro or Mint. lol I use Debian with Gnome and is good.
I use Debian 8 KDE x64 downloaded today! From the beginning I cannot customize my desktop,I cannot setup my machine's audio device....I thinked about me that I am an ''advanced'' user because I tried many, many Linux Distro's(including Slackware ),but with Kubuntu 15.04 and Debian 8 I failed!
The most stable is Debian and Arch. Derivatives that sometimes are not very stable. Arch = Manjaro, NetRunner, Chackra Debian = Family UBuntu, SolidXK, Linux Mint
Linux mint is not stable, it's based on ubuntu and ubuntu WAS based on debian. They have going their own way now.

With proper guide it's easy to install. Also you get a bit more to know how linux works and what you have installed.
