Hi, I have a portable internet (it is a wap connection and I was able to transfer it across usb cable to my laptop) and seems to have a download limit at 10 mb per file. So I was wondering if there is some software that can download files larger than 10mb using some sort of package or something like splitting files before downloading. More details about my connection: I'm using a nokia 6288 connected to PC with a CA-52 USB cable. I use a proxy adress and a proxy port which is 8799. I'm subscribed to a wap "unlimited" service at Orange Romania, and i guess it is the cheapest internet connection (3,5 € / month) . So if there is a way to download files larger than 10 mb without using direct download link let me know. thanks
D/L Manager I use Hidownload Manager and it works well for me. Not sure if there is a key available for the latest version, but version 7.81 works fine with Windows 7. I used to like Flashget, but no luck with Windows 7. I am not an expert, so will be interested to hear what they use.
i had serious performance problems with downthemall, so I recommend Flashget, the classic old version v1.73 which has no torrent support etc.
Used to use FlashGet with FlashGot plugin for a very long time. Couple of years ago i switched to DownloadHelper (media stuff) and DownThemAll (all other stuff). Never looked back.
i tried FDM (free download manager) recently and it seems quite good, has a lot of support for other stuff like torrents, video, site explorer, ftp its seems a bit like flashget, only its free
I just tried Flash get 3 and it didn't work with the ISO I was trying to download from MS with the new Windows Home Server beta however the internet download manager did.... I agree its better....
