I haven't Slipstreamed a Win 7 .ISO in many years. Can KB3125574 be Slipstreamed into the Win 7 SP1 .ISO ? How about a refresher course ?
Yes. See this link... blogs.technet.microsoft.com/windowsitpro/2016/05/17/simplifying-updates-for-windows-7-and-8-1
I'm on 14342 and running dism add-packages to an untouched 7 SP1 enterprise wim shows errors: Code: Image Version: 6.1.7601.17514 Processing 1 of 1 - Adding package Package_for_KB3125574~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~6.1.4.4 An error occurred - Package_for_KB3125574 Error: 0x800736b5 Error: 14005 The manifest file contains one or more syntax errors.
Thanks. Will try, i will report in the hotfix repo EDIT: it worked, i forgot about any possible servicing stack update
So, which of the included updates are the ones pushing Windows 10? I mean... surely a reputable site like that wouldn't just make that up, would they?
I wonder how this works with Steve Gibson's never10 program? A rose by any other name is still a rose and this sound for all the world to effectively be Windows 7 SP2. Since I've been using WSUS Offline Updater for a while now, I think I'll pass at least for now. Given Microsoft's recent tactics pushing Windows 10, this sounds just a little too good to be trusted at this point. Call me paranoid and I'll not disagree with you, but I just don't trust Microsoft to be anything but Microsoft. Addendum: Inquiring minds want to know. I created a 64 bit Windows 7 VirtualBox instance, successfully used Daz's loader to activate it and attempted to install the AMD64 version of the update. Windows reported the update was not appropriate for my system. Knowing the probable outcome, I attempted to install the x86 update with the same results. I expected it to fail but tried it anyway. I supposed trying this on a Mac with an Intel processor may have had something to do with it ... I don't know. I'm sticking with WSUS Offline Updater regardless. It works just fine and well, Microsoft is Microsoft. I'll leave this to better minds to deal with.
Once you get what you want into your basket, click the basket icon. You should be able to pick a folder and download from there.
Yep the Files for Win 7 x64 and Server 2008 are identiscal. Just fired up Wireshark to get the links to directly download it. Is it possible to post the direct links here, or is it forbidden?
