Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit 5.0 - available

    Hello All,

Wanted to let you know that Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit 5.0 is available to download - url below.

The Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit (EMET) is designed to help prevent attackers from gaining
access to computer systems. EMET anticipates the most common attack techniques attackers might use to
exploit vulnerabilities in computer systems, and helps protect by diverting, terminating, blocking, and
invalidating those actions and techniques. EMET protects computers even before new and undiscovered
threats are addressed by security updates and antimalware software. It helps enterprises and all PC users
by protecting against security threats and privacy breaches that can disrupt businesses and daily lives.

Hello guys, so I installed the MS EMET v5, but the IE11 whenever a website tries to make use of the java plugin EMET does not,
as is the 1st time you use this tool, you wanted to know what I can do to EMET not interfere with the java plugin in IE11.

    I thank you all!

Is someone using EMET v5.0 under Windows-8.1 and if, when do you recommend to do so ?

With EMET you can "temporary fix" some 0-day security issues (for example of Internet Explorer or in OS core)...
...you need to consult security hole articles 1st, then you can set EMET to restring the problematic behavior...
...sometimes MS even recommend, how to set EMET for specific problems on their security forums until they fix it.

For new beginner with EMET, I recommend to play with EMET in VirtualMachine 1st.

I've been using it a couple of months, but I don't use IE as my browser. I'm using all the default settings (medium security). No problems at all. Runs quietly in the system tray.
