I use Startisback++ but that not free after 30 days. But for the small cost for a lifetime license isn't too bad. I bought my code for win 8.1 and it transferred to the win 10 version. its not as fully configurable as ClassicShell was but it does what i need.
Yep, also prefer the way SIB++ only hooks the DLL if start menu is invoked, no background process = no problems, and i use from Win 8 on .
