Hmmmmm. May try as the only channel that I have copy once is Hbo. Can just get using HBO GO. Was it hard to install? Also, may just wait it out on pre-Win 10AE since my v12 w/Xbox extenders works flawlessly!
So today my TA died. I had to go down and pick up another Motorola. Then hooked everything up and nothing worked. Called up Charter and after convincing them to push a firmware update, everything works, but missing channels. Then I found instructions from SiliconDust on how to flush the channel table. And suddenly I went from 265 channels to 282 channels. Obviously, I really missed those channels since I never noticed them before.
I don't understand why you need a TA for only 282 channels. There should be enough bandwidth for every single one of those channels to be HD, without SDV. I think you may still be missing several hundred. Either that or your cable company is issuing TAs for the sole purpose of tracking what you watch and/or targeted advertising. They aren't close to needing it with a lineup that small.
Well you'd have to ask Charter/Spectrum about that. I don't get many channels without the TA. I also don't have all the packages.
I was on Charter with Ta Didn't use it at all more for LATINO Channels got on Comcast don't need one both Cablecards are Motorola still got the Motorola ta Cheap
I didn't say that. I'm saying that other programs are pretty well usable using a remote but they aren't on par to WMC when used with a mouse. Maybe is not the initial wizard, but when you try to do something more... To say one, try to add manually a channel skipped by the initial sweep, or try to remove say 300 channels from your listing, like I do. Sure you can rely on third party utilities, but you don't need them on Kodi, Mediaportal, MythTV and alike I agree but the latest default Kodi skin are pretty streamlined as well
DVBLink doesn't touch the signal at all, unless you need it recompressed, because a very low powered android client or because the bandwith, if you're accessing it using the browser from a remote location.
Te first thing you should try is the in place upgrade, take your 10586 ISO and reinstall it on top of itself keeping everything. Another thing to test is to reset your DRMs (that's really quick to do, but may affect any DRM recording on your machine)
I find that ticker chugging is better tested on the HD Sports channels that have a ticker at the bottom, as well as, multiple rotating scorecards, etc. Also another test is those channels that have... Tickers, Rotating Scorecards, and Live Video Conference with 3 guests. (5 streams within 1 stream) Installing DVBLink is less difficult than WMC, pretty simple actually. I didn't have to RTFM so, it cant be all that bad. On the upside, it is a good software to learn, as it makes it simple to add multiple types of sources such as Satellite, OTA, Etc.
I am happy to report that I am deploying this version via Group Policy shutdown script to all my Windows 10 clients. Zero effort, and it works like a charm!
WMC + Extenders Mcx2Prov.zip (Extract and place in the bin\MediaCenter directory) NTRights.zip (Extract and place in the bin directory) Anyone know where those can be downloaded at now? The links are dead :/ Would love to get my Xbox extender up and running, any help would be appreciated!
Sometimes reading the freaking reaedme helps . The modded mcx2 is included in v8.8.1, you need just to swap it with the original file. Ntrights is included as well.
Thanks. I hadnt tried the 8.8 version, just the first post that is stickied with the v12 download link. New to this form and the treads are a bit tricky to follow. And for the record, I did read the read-me, just not the one you referenced Thanks again, sorry I missed the original posts, very nice stuff, great work to everyone involved
14393, DVBLink, HDHR-3CC, WMCv8.8 1) Start out with a fresh 14393..Nothing installed on it except for WinRAR. Give the PC a name, Join the Workgroup, and Enable File Sharing. 2) Install HDHR-3CC and setup all 3 tabs. Make sure you do the CableCard Channel Scan. 3a) Test Live TV is working using Windows Media Player. 3b) Install WMC, Don't set up anything, Don't even open it. 4) Install DVBLink. I think I only needed Server, IPTV, and TV Source, I may have activated them all. 5) Configure the Server. 5a) Go to IPTV Source, click on Remote, type in the IP of your HDHR-3CC, click the arrow-> 5b) Go to Channels, Select All, Right Arrow, Select All, Save 5c) Go Tv and Media Library, up in the top left corner, click the icon to organize the channels so that channel 2 is at the top. Click (in my case) WJBK-don't click the empty EPG. Channel should play.
