[DISCUSSION] UUP dump - download Windows 10 UUPs with ease

How did you download? On the gitlab site right of 'Find File' is a cloud icon with a dropdown offering a ZIP download, was that used?

Recommend to re-download the complete package, unpack freshly and try again.

In 'packs' folder check for '362d7f33-552f-49dc-b1b6-f0c2d456ddc6.json.gz', it shouldn't show a zero byte file. To be sure, delete the file and try again.

I dont have the file and got the error message.

 

@ARCIGA that's the 'fileinfo' folder, there should also be a 'packs' folder with GZ file with same name.

 

With new API when using the download via the Flight Rings, there should be a JSON file saved to 'fileinfo' folder and a new GZ file with same name to the 'packs' folder. Both are needed to successfully download a build.

In case of problems delete the 'cache' folder and restart the tool.

 

No clue what the problem might be . Just downloaded a fresh ZIP from GitLab and tested download of 16299.371 and 17134.5 with no problems. I didn't even update the database (only needed to use the Older Releases Query and the File Query).

 

I have download a fresh zip file 5 Minutes left and unrar it and try and got the error again.

 

Check whether AV or Firewall are interferring with the fetches.

 

EDIT: Additionally it would be nice if you mention what you're trying to actually download.

Please do not use spaces in the folder name.

 

@s1ave77 If script needs directory not containing spaces, you can try using this at start of the script:

Hi,
am I missing something?
After downloading using option [P] RETAIL RING DOWNLOAD (16299.431) folder "cu" is empty.
It supposed to contain .cab files (updates), right?

It indeed is. Temporary fix is to use the CU/SSU direct fetch in same sub-menu.

@mkuba50 Interestingly the fetched download lists are generally missing any update CABs .

 

Hi, I have a really stupid problem. When I run it the converter script complains `Can't open ..\some\path\UUPs\]Professional_en-us.esd`. Note the close square bracket in the path. Any idea why? The path does *not* contain spaces.

 

How did you get the files? Never saw this happening with UUPDL.
