I was a long time user of VLC until they updated to v2 I find it buggy and laggy in playing videos

I switched to Sharky Win7Codecs / x64 Components along with Sharky007's Pre-Configured version of MPC-HC which is configured for top notch playback of any video file!

VLC spoiled what was a perfect product with this update and still no x64 version

IN my opinion, one of the truly great thing with VLC is that it's self-contained and don't mess around with codecs. Therefore it's perfectly safe to install even if you're using Windows Media Player/Center in parallel. For example I play music on Spotify and Windows Media Player (for FLAC-files), but watch movies on VLC.

The VLC GUI is rather crude though, but who cares really when the features are so great. :worthy::worthy:

1- Open VLC, go to tools.
    2- Click on subtitle.
3- Change encoding to (Windows-1256) for Arabic.
4- Change font to either (traditional Arabic, or, Andalus).
5- Save and Close VLC. Restart VLC and you should be OK.

Use only vlc since 2009 for all torrent downloads. Easiest to add subtitles and verify file and subtitle sync before converting.
