hello everyone, Could someone, please, tell me the difference between Business and Consumer versions? (features, licensing etc) as an average user, which one should I choose?
I removed Cortana with CCleaner. No problems with Search. If you want you can reinstall on Microsoft store
Depends on how activation was done (KMS will expire, others are usually permanent). Check with: Code: slmgr.vbs /xpr If it reports Permanent, It'll stay activated, at least on that exact hardware.
The difference is consumer ISO's don't contain Enterprise SKU's and business ISO's don't contain Home SKU's. So, if you planned on installing Home, you would want the consumer ISO. If you planned on installing Enterprise, you would want the business ISO. If you planned on installing Pro, Education, Pro Education or Pro for Workstations, either ISO will do.
I haven't tried yet removing this new Cortana beta app from win10 v2004 via NTLite, earlier, in older Windows versions before v2004 I removed Cortana & the search functionality directly via START & inside the windows settings section has stopped as Cortana used to an integral part of the windows start as of now, but recently since v2004 MS split Cortana from START so I am about to test that via removing directly from NTLite. If you've done that test already or about to test recently, let me know about the outcome. I will probably test that next week. Yes, on another note, Cortana (beta) app can safely be removed via CCleaner or any other UWP app removal uninstaller (I use Revo Uninstaller PRO) & that won't be effective to the search functionality of Windows. I've done that & thus can confirm that.
I use the converter esd2cab from this post: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-10-hotfix-repository.57050/page-289#post-1429381 but in the end I get about a corrupted language pack when installing it. any idea?
So, TechBench ISO and en_windows_10_consumer_editions_version_2004_updated_may_2020_x64_dvd_36d61c40.iso are the same ISO? Thank you for the help
