Enthousiast posted the link for registry fix the question is why that folder is being created...that usually happens when u do to many on top of the other upgrades or try to repair or roll back the OS to a earlier setting it creates that default folder... that should not be their has MS giving any answer to this issue:confused:

Well, didn't I already say that the folder is there since the very beginning of the Windows Clean installation where I did absolutely nothing?

The reason why I mainly post this here is to know that whether anyone knows anything about this & MSFT standpoint on this bug? I am quite surprised to see this & after knowing the fact that MSFT didn't fix this bug in the last 4yrs while delivering 8 total Windows Updates/upgrades (plus monthly cumulative updates if you count that too for the record) from Anniversary Update till date which is there still persistently existed since 2016, even in latest Windows 10 v2004 May 2020 update

2004 is a mess, keep 1909 and update directly on 21H1. With the hope things are going better next year.

In version 1809 this does not occur.

then you might be lucky, or maybe someone like me who didn't notice this earlier or every time after installing windows.

What does that mean? MSFT fixed this issue in v1809 only, & again, by somehow or for some reason, they re-added this or forgot to patch in other updates that released afterwards?

Anbody else got this Defender Platform Update 4.18.2007.3 .
