It only takes up some more space but for working it's not needed to remove it, online you can't officially uninstall the older one anyway.

Sure he do always,but some time I grab the prerelease updates and then when patch thuesday come I got only problem installing new updates and cant ven make an inplace upgrade only clean install, so yes I know Enthy wrote its on own risk new updates maybe faild updating. So I only grab updates there is not prelease and hope all will go good next updates.
Just don't run any online cleanup after installing an Insider Preview update. Inplace/repair upgrade failing can be caused by so many things like drivers, AntiVirus, etcetc...
I normaly just make a normal disk clean after install updates,system backup is off, guess its that makes problem, I got a total crash after installing a updated driver realtek motherbord so y there are many thing there can make a crash or win update fail, never less I make a full image backup now so it can recover back in 10 minutes.
What CU changed the first logon animation? Instead of 'Getting things ready' it now mentions 'Installing apps'. I have done a fresh install in a while so I missed this addition when it happened.
