Not just you, it's been like that since the very early Canary builds.

Funny thing is that it happens on Windows 10 as well, not only Windows 11. On all version 95, be it Canary, Dev, Beta or Release. I used all of them and they all changed the font.
Not that is matters much, the new font is bigger and more visible on large screens.
But it's kind of silly, honestly, what UI integration, changing one font ? I mean they should do it the Chrome way, with rounded UI (it's in Chrome Canary as an option but not in the default browser that comes with Windows 11 ?).

 

How can I use a single .esd file? Let's say I get the one for 21h1 from tb.rg-adguard.net. What can I do with it?
Can I name it install.esd and place it in an iso instead of install.wim? Will the iso boot and work then, if all other files in it are left unchanged?

 

Use ESD 2 ISO by Abbodi1406 & create standard ISO from same downloaded M$ esd file.

That seems useful. But I assume the generated iso file will have an install.esd instead of an install. wim.
So, it will be similar to what mct creates, right? And with that procedure, its sum of the iso will be different from the one ms provides...

 

Don't assume. You are offered a number of options at the start. install.wim, install.esd, single SKU (Home, Pro etc.) multiple SKU.

 

And how do we know if the mentioned OP LCU .CAB updates are from UUP Dump or not and are they released before LCU .MSU and non-UUP Dump LCU .CAB updates?

 

To be honest, I have never read this howto for esd to iso. It seems useful but not for my needs.
I know that the esd files are significatly smaller in size than the isos, so I thought I could save some time from downloading and "putting" them in an iso. However, that time I will save from downloading will probably wasted when I will need and convert them to iso.

E.g. Downloading a 5+ gb iso on my 12Mbps connection will take me 70-80 minutes and the iso is ready for usage, plus its sum can be verified.
Downloading a ~4gb esd on the same connection will take me 60 minutes at most, but converting it to iso will probably take me more than 10-20 minutes. Also, its sum won't be verifiable.
I am always talking about the simplest scenario, i.e the creation of the iso with install.wim, for one architecture and all available editions it can offer.

I forget that Download speeds around the World are all over the place. I can Download a 5 GB File in seconds. I have 1 Gbps speed.

 

This is a naïve question, because I'm really confused.

This version number belongs to the Insider's circle as far as it is written in a few sites. I'm not an Insider subscriber. Can I get an explanation please.

For official non-flight builds, the "Insider circle" only affect the updates (and upgrades to Dev builds)

any 19044 build is official, you don't need any Insider enrollment to run it

 

Are there 19044 en iso for download?
