    Meh, I'm getting old.

    Why the MCT v2004 created .ISO is significantly smaller than Techbench's?

    For spanish x64 is something like 3.88GB (MCT) vs. 4.92GB (TB).

    I'm a bit lost here.

    Sorry for asking such a noobie question.

    install.wim vs. install.esd

    WIM (LZX compressed) is easily serviceable, but larger. ESD (LZMS compressed) is smaller, but cannot be serviced unless being converted back to WIM.

    LZMS compresses far better than LZX, thus the size difference. But servicing ESD directly would require vast amounts of RAM, resources and time, thus why it is not possible.

    I'm still observing random system freezes with .264 fresh installs on 2 or my 4 systems. Reverting to 1909 and waiting things out to see if I am just having "one in a million" experiences.

    I'm not experiencing BSOD's, just randomly timed system/application hangs. I'm using recent drivers IGP drivers 15.33.50.5129 (HD 4000) and 27.20.100.8190 (HD 630). The 4000 system had not offered up the 'Feature Update to Windows, version 2004' so I wondered if MS did not consider it to be ready yet. The HD 630 system did give me the offering so I gave it a go but the system is unusable with the slightly pared down exact same applications that run fine with 1909. Oh well.

    Or he uses a very old GPU. For example, 342.01 is the latest driver for Geforce 8.

    Well, then you must be having & using a really old GPU which stopped getting new driver updates, or you don't game actually, & even you do, then don't play recent (AAA) titles.

    I don't & I am quite certain am not alone at all. I stopped waiting & using the official MSFT ISO from the day when I get into 'Image Management' back in 2016/2017 & start using baseline UUPdump ISO with CU & other updates integration & customizing & modding the ISO to achieve nearly 95% automation in installation & 90% post-installation overall configuration.
