Size on disk is simply a side effect of the fact the disk is formatted with clusters, usually 4k. So a 3kb file will actually take up 4kb of space, since that's the size of a cluster. I just had a thought though. In NTFS, a very small file can actually take up no clusters, as the contents will be stored along with the file information in the MFT.

I'm not sure if it matters whether it is 508 or 538. A true LCU should include everything in a prior cumulative update. But 538 seemed pretty specific. You could try a direct update to 541. If it didn't work, and you have not run cleanmgr.exe, then you could uninstall 538 and then apply 541. Those are some possibilities. The EP has not changed for the third time...

I am already on .538 and there is no uninstall/inplace upgrade to remove .538 CU this was why I was asking if .541 is specific for ppipro teams/surface hub, or a regular CU for .508

You could use DISM to apply KB4577063. Would you like me to try this and get back to you with the results?

That's fine, but keep in mind that MSFT has released an annoucement for this update that lists all the fixes. It's not just for PPIPRO. I just installed the SSU and LCU and it worked fine. I'm at 19042.541 now.

Drop downloaded files in the same folder at w10UI and run the script.

541 installed successfully on a system where 538 had failed.

Its both as it has always been and always will be.

If you have 19041.X, you will get 19041.541. If you have 19042.X, you will get 19042.541.
