hey folks, does any one know what are the latest win10 build numbers of the consumer and business editions available on tech bench? (I believe i read consumer is 19042.508)

also, side note, does anyone know what the "refresh" builds are? e.g. the latest is 19042.572.201009-1947 for business edition.... specifically, i'm wondering do these refreshes eventually replace whatever public build that's available?

thanks so much in advance. I love MDL. such a great community! :)

Refresh ISOs just mean they got new updates pre-integrated.

On techbench there are no business ISOs available, only when they still are called insider preview, like with 19042.450.

No lengthy discussion needed, just one screenshot of the different WU settings will be sufficient, or mention one different setting.

    @donmiller

The only difference between Pro/Education Consumer vs. Business is the preinstalled GVLK package

From a feature perspective, I don’t think there are any differences. But from a client side perpective, I would think that some GPO settings would have to be made to point Windows to get updates from a local intranet server rather than from global WU server. How else would an IT admin be able to filter and control the updates that get pushed to the client? I am curious about how that is set up.

Aboddi do you have an updated static download windowsupdate.com link for windowsupdatebox.exe? Looks the latest for 20H2 is signed Nov 5th.

Tried the good ol windowsupdatebox_[sha1checksum].exe url in same path as the esd that's worked with all past releases, but no luck this time.

Go read about WSUS or SCCM - the trend seems to be the latter as we (my section) moved away from the former.

Thanks for the advice. I'm planning on doing some homework.

EDIT: Looks like we might be done with SCCM as we knew it. In a paper posted 11/29/2019 MSFT says:

What happened to System Center Configuration Manager?
Starting in version 1910, Configuration Manager current branch is now part of Microsoft Endpoint Manager. Version 1906 and earlier are still branded System Center Configuration Manager. The Microsoft Endpoint Manager brand will appear in the product and documentation over the coming months.
There's no change to the other components of the System Center suite.

It's about time they fixed this. I want to be "done" with fiddling with the registry to do an in-place upgrade or repair.

Has anyone analyzed the 661 LCU to see if it has an embedded SSU in it?

Even though MSFT has been talking about "packaging" SSUs with LCUs for a long time, I'm seeing that SSUs are still showing up as separate KBs in my Windows Update uninstall list. Also, there were 10 separate SSU catalog files for kb4586864. What's up with that?

Hi guys, how's it going? Could someone upload this iso file? > pp_windows_10_business_editions_version_20h2_x64_dvd_25c93a89 iso file

I've already tried to do the usual procedure, downloading the base iso (en_windows_10_business_editions_version_20h2_x64_dvd_4788fb7c iso file) and after that go to SVF repository thread and download the portuguese .svf file to use it with slave77's S-M-R-T SVF ISO CONVERTER, but the svf file provided in the link i've mentioned before is broken somehow. I've downloaded "pp_windows_10_business_editions_version_20h2_x64_dvd_25c93a89 svf file", but when i go convert it in the iso, the program shows a error message saying i need "pp_windows_10_consumer_editions_version_20h2_x64_dvd_70e959e6 iso file" but how is it possible? I've downloaded the business base iso and the portuguese business edition svf file..

Could someone upload the portuguese business iso version or guide me please? That's the first time i've got some sord of error using this method.. it worked perfectly with other isos, just this one isn't working..
