Today is the last Friday in Jan. Has anyone heard what the latest on the 21H1 Enablement Package is ?
I'm on win 10 19042.746 . I'm sick to death of it ...... 1 - i've put it in over and over again and with nothing cut out its being crippled by ...... system interupts , runtime broker and desktop window manager . It takes ages to start , restart or turn off . It loads the desktop and task bar links in slow motion and its unresponsive . 2 - My system is in one language and my keyboard in another and it keeps changing my keyboard in the middle of writing posts . 3 - It keeps changing my PDF reader from mine to that from win 10 .
Thank you . Wich one is January 2021 Updated ISO ? I've tried dism /online /cleanup-Image /restorehealth and it didnt change anything . Every time i install i use Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase afterwards .......... and i've scanned with CheckDisk 12 and it shows no errors . EDIT ---- > Its an elitebook 8540p I'm thinking that its either the laptop is to old ....... and / or it doesnt like the drivers ...... and / or it doesnt like open shell menue starting with the system.
Older systems take longer to boot up and shut down. Check your system using the following steps: 1. From a Command Prompt, run Chkdsk C: If you get errors, then run Chkdsk C: /F Note: This usually requires a reboot. 2. Make sure to be connected to the internet. 3. Make sure that Windows Update service is running. 4. From a Command Prompt, run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth 5. Run SFC /Scannow If errors are found and recoverable, then reboot and run SFC /Scannow again until errors are gone.

I never did that before and i enjoyed it ...... but ....... in the mean time i cut a few bits out so there was no point in doing it ...... so i'll do it when i reinstall on patch teusday . But i ran Chkdsk C: and SFC /Scannow anyway . ... just had a bit of an interesting experience downloaded relevant files from uup dump and created image using the generated script, all good however, this time for some reason, on creation of the image ALL updates (not base image files) were deleted from the UUPs folder
