BTW, If I've to make a new W10 ISO adding the LCU o make it 21H1.928 Pro.

What'd you suggest for the base ISO? Considering the fact that I don't want any (old or new) EDGE in my OS pre-installed. & want to avoid that one (new or old) which one is harder to remove from OS

19041.1 (Old UUP Made ISO in my collection? 19043.867 (made from official v867 ESD) or Dl latest 19043.928 ISO from UUP?

Is there any way to make a UUPD based latest ISO without the EDGE?

Use W10UI_9.9 with the option to skip edge enabled* combined with the 21H1 Updates from the updates overview.

    *
    Code:
:: 1 = do not install EdgeChromium with Enablement Package or Cumulative Update
    set SkipEdge=1

Same here! Oh well, I'll just wait until the next CU to see if they make that one fix it or it won't be until fall when 21H2 is ready and I do an inplace upgrade.

Create an uptodate ISO and mount it and run setup.exe and run the repair upgrade.

0x800f0988 again, twice this year. Already did an in-place upgrade before (don't remember which build it was) and fixed it, so I guess there's that, fresh install or ditch Windows for good this time.

Or never install an IP update after running a cleanup, seems that caused the initial problem?

I'm not quite sure. The only thing I know for sure is that there's no way around it other than doing an in-place upgrade.

Resetting the .1 base should work too.

You mean like going back to 19042.1? I never did that nor do I know how.

I've wanted to do a fresh install anyways for some time now, but I just simply don't have the time to deal with it anymore.

Guess I'll just leave it as is, for now. PC works fine, anyways. It's just "that OCD of having the latest build installed" thingy that bothers me.

The drive should be "it's best to be 100% uptodate (and only use public updates)".

Inplace/repair upgrade with a .928 ISO should fix it, preferred over just leaving it.

Why does Windows Defender slow down Windows updates? I forgot to disable realtime protection this time and half way through I remebered and it went alot faster.
