'Policies can't be changed' - does it mean Education version related or all policies? my requirements are: 1. disable Cortana (I read that Education has Cortana disabled) 2. spotlight (not needed) 3. change address bar search to Google in Edge 4. completely disable Defender (temporarily) Also, Why Education Pro?
I meant Education specific applied policies can't be changed. You can apply all 4 of them, better to get Enterprise and tweak group policies as per your need. Pro Education is based on Pro and Education is based on Enterprise.
To change address bar search to Google in Microsoft Edge Edge Settings --> Privacy, search and services --> (scroll to bottom of page, click on >) Address bar and search --> (scroll to bottom of page, click on >) Manage search engines. Make the change you want. Now you can search Google for points 1, 2 and 4.

In News and interests I can log in to MS account. I get the message "no connected account" and I don't see the option to log in. It's working when I log in to PC with MS account, but I prefer local account. What can I do ? I also have the same problem in 21390.2025. BTW, there is option to disable all the news except weather ?
Unfortunately, I also have this same problem here! After performing a clean install with all updates integrated (W10UI), Windows 10 insists on downloading the same LCU after one or two days. I came to the conclusion that this could be caused by Windows Update Delivery Optimization (WUDO), or even when, you remove or try to enable some Windows Optional Feature (example: Edge, dotNET Framework 3.5). As you yourself mentioned, I was also able to prove this by monitoring Windows via resmon. Windows Update downloads KB5003637 (Build 1052) or KB5004476 (Build 1055), and when installing, it simply scrolls through the files and doesn't update anything. Not to mention that, this increasing the size of the folder: %SystemRoot%\servicing\LCU with an unnecessary update.
After last CU .19043.1052: 1. right-click open context menu on the LEFT side every time when clicking (in the registry - MenuDropAlignment back to 0) <this was strange bug 2. In all the apps I've logged in, it doesn't show my icon, only a main photo I think because I was in Beta Channel, but I reinstalled Win with 19043.1052 img from UUP - same situation.
