    At uupdump.ml there is a choice between "C̲u̲m̲u̲l̲a̲t̲i̲v̲e̲ ̲U̲p̲d̲a̲t̲e̲ ̲f̲o̲r̲ Windows 10 Version 2004 (19041.208) amd64" or "F̲e̲a̲t̲u̲r̲e̲ ̲u̲p̲d̲a̲t̲e̲ ̲t̲o̲ Windows 10, version 2004 (19041.208) amd64".
If one wants to use the through download generated ISO result to do a fresh reinstall to 20H1 with all the new features, activated as Enterprise using "KMS_VL_ALL - Smart Activation Script", etc... which one of those two options should one choose? Are they different when used in that way and if so, how?

Does anyone know if 20H1 is the build which is supposed to mitigate the performance loss due to the Spectre and Meltdown patches for Intel CPUs?

    Retpoline?

    Wasn't that implemented in 1809?

Retpoline is not activated on Coffee Lake, if you're talking about your 9700K. You don't need to fear Spectre/Meldown much on your CPU. What you should be more worried about are the newer mitigations and microcode for JCC Erratum (and/or Plundervolt) which can have a 5-10% impact on performance, depending on benchmark/task. Here's the approx. list for the microcodes that will likely tank your performance:

I don't think MSDN 207 has any improvement but still expect it。

MS is occupied with some last minute complaints and issues, that's why they did not make the 28th planned release. That's good because some of those issues are pretty serious. Let them take a few more days.

My guess is "RTM" will be a later build than 208.

Thanks for the explanation! What exactly is Dynamic Update? Is that where the setup can go off to the Internet and fetch any additional or newer updates and update itself?

When using the official Media Creation Tool, it will download this update and integrate it to the setup files, not to boot.wim or install.wim. So you can basically say, it is an update for the setup files.

Thanks! So if you go to UUPDump, select the latest Feature Update, it will have updated Setup files versus if you had selected the latest Cumulative Update version from UUPDump? i.e the Cumulative Update has v19041.1 Setup files?

Has the Windows update download folder changed in 20H1? I see only a few empty folders in SoftwareDistribution\Download. Since Component cleanup via Disk Cleanup is borked in 20H1, I was thinking why not delete those files manually.

Are those mitigations active in 19041.208 by default? I already integrated that D2 CL microcode to my motherboard firmware when if popped up (and the DA for SL on my server but that's Linux running with all these mitigations disabled from boot command line, since everything comes from the distro repo).
