Apparently you will have control, at least for a certain length of time. But because all Windows 10 releases reach end of life after a given number of months, they HAVE to try to force you onto a new build at some point. Otherwise you will simply stop receiving any updates, and be in the same position as a Windows Vista user with known vulnerabilities in your system that will never be patched.
18362.1 is now updating to CUs on retail channel for me, no need to even be in insider preview. There is no sign of "insider preview" anywhere.
That option doesn't exist and will not exist in Windows 10, it would be irresponsible on Microsoft's part to allow users to remain in an unsupported version.
How many times do you keep posting this nonsense? Every f**king few posts and every official build release we see this... As soon as 18362 goes public, everybode who upgrades by WU will get the exact same download offered + the needed updates, all by the UUP system...
You right, But I want one file and not plenty files to make ISO. The same thing was with previous final versions.
I have tested in other games I hope it will be better with the updates in the coming days well for now there are no errors like the freeze in the FPS do not fall at any problem I have not experienced any problems quite successfully
Well ... what version are you currently on? 1809? If you check MS's site you will find like all Windows 10 releases it has an 'end of life' date, which is May of next year unless you are running an Enterprise or Education edition. Not a time bomb - just a date after which it will receive no further security (or other) updates. After that date, any known vulnerabilities will no longer be patched, just as Windows Vista no longer receives updates. So it would be irresponsible of MS to not at least try to move people onto newer builds at some point. How long you can put off the 1903 release I don't know. You may even be able to put it off until the 1909 release if you don't like it for some reason.
Even with the ESD its still the base image (18362.1) you will have to update with the latest CU to get to version 18362.53 (currently) or what ever the latest CU version will be once the ESD is released.
I don't have problem with updates. I know the full ESD is the same as the uup files. BTW, I don't wait for ISO. Only for full ESD, that this before ISO. Most of the people here waiting for ISO.
Main reason for not installing 1903 update is my creative sound card which doesnt work with 1903. Creative has published new drivers but not for my card - x-fi extreme music.
yeah its download the older version but its the right one for 1903 , but now we are on the final road for esd for 1903
I'll be waiting for ESDs. But it's strange that info file says 18362.1 while if you run it, it will download 17763.379.
