I'm still on 19546.1000. I got error code 0x800700b7 when trying to update to both 19551 and 19555.

Is this build time bombed? or more or less are there any avail build of 20H1 (mainly that include WSL2) that do not have an expire time bomb?

    Follow the link;)
This is not 20H1, not even 20H2, it's an independent test build, all in the fast ring now are not linked to any release builds.

19041 is the expected new 20H1 build.

I knew that. I was testing you! You passed. :p

Its getting more and more difficult to keep track of the many builds (release and insider). :)

    Not to mention!

    Windows 10 Insider Preview 10.0.19551.1005 (rs_prerelease) amd64
    vs
    Windows 10 Insider Preview 19555.1001 (rs_prerelease) amd64

still a little confused on the difference. but tbh I haven't really tried to read and or compare either. ;)

The reason for my original question was Im looking for a fairly stable wsl2 build that I can use personally for some inhouse stuff where the underlining os doesnt expire after x months even if 'activated'! I have done some wsl2 testing in a vm but im looking for file/disk io performance gains that i read the new native kernel will provide. my current setup doesnt use wsl it a debian vm sharing files etc..with local vm host.

Im hoping that WSL2 will help with all that. Just dont want to setup/configure get all working just the way I want then a little while longer the OS expires etc..

They are the same, msft releases them in that way, sometimes the one or the other is pulled.
