hope not a dumb question since September or October is coming up soon will 26200.xxx be out of DEV Channel
For some months now I don't see the Local Experience Language Packs (LXPs) downloading from the Store. Have these become obsolete?
Yes, MS does that a couple times a year in Dev, maybe to ensure everyone is on the same solid ground. In this case, I read that the branch changed to "ge_release_svc_betaflt" from "ge_prerelease_im/" Like the last time they pushed a full build (as opposed to a CU), on unsupported HW I had to remember to deactivate "Skip_TPM_Check_on_Dynamic_Update" else the WU doesn't actually take place (but makes you think it will). Running the "Online Upgrade Enabler" bat from Boot and Upgrade Kit then allows the WU to take place if you retry, though it's unclear to me whether it's what that bat adds or subtracts which does the trick. It's possible that Skip_TPM_Check_on_Dynamic_Update is best left off these days, I'm not sure yet. It runs interference for full build WUs, as described above, and may not be needed for CUs (what Dev gets almost all the time).
It will be an enablement package like from 1903 > 1909 and 19041 >>> 19045 in combination with a certain build LCU, but expected is that the EP + LCU is enough will be when the EP goes out of DEV IP channel, And i reported that it still is a full upgrade, based on the fact that WU downloads the full uup file set, but the actual upgrade goes way faster than between 22631 > 26100 (for example).
They are forced to do the full upgrade, because different channels LCUs have different PSFX delta files bases
But where would these differences be, the two updates are identical. MSFT already made me confused when i published the updates because if their identical numbers
Because it's identical (it's the same update ), current installed Dev LCU is not compatible, hence require in-place upgrade (if cleaned-up)
Are both udpates msu files having same SHA hash? I ended up creating a new fresh iso of 26200.5722 from uupdump and doing in-place upgrade. All 3 systems now working very well with 2 Vivetool tweaks... :: Enable Wifi 6Ghz Hotspot ViVeTool.exe /enable /id:40466470,48433719 :: 25H2 New Start Menu ViVeTool.exe /enable /id:47205210,49221331,49381526,49402389,49820095,55495322,48433719 Also, Insider Preview wordings have disappeared everywhere which makes me believe that 26200.5722 will eventually become the RTM 25H2 with further updates.
