Hi everyone, I have a question, is this version stable enough to install on my main PC? I'm currently on version 23H2
hi guys. I would like to update my very old laptop toshiba satellite pro with c2d T9300 6gb ram, samsung ssd. At the moment i have w11 pro 23H2 and today i wanted to update this to 24H2 and after many attempts and different ways i couldn't do it. Fresh installation goes to the moment when first restart is needed and after restart computer doesn't want to switch on. When i tried to update 23 to 24 same story, after update first restart and a few minutes later system is restored back to 23. with error code and safe-boot as a reason. Is the any way how to solve this?
Your system is < first gen, core 2 duo/quad systems are no longer supported for quite some time now (dunno if it is the cpu SSE4.2 stuff), install IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC and enjoy the laptop on 10 till 2032
Not for the sse4.2 missing stuff, afaik. At some point hardware gets to old, i know that myself, i just threw 20+ Pentium 4 and older crap out and now the core2duo stuff is on 10 but i hardly ever use those systems these days.
Nb for windows 11 23h2 ( enterprise or education sku aka edition , end of life for update are 2026 ) last build work with old cpu Better use windows 10 iot ltsc 2021 ! If you need windows store write wsreset -i
I don't know where else to ask this, but since the problem exists with Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024, I suppose it fits here more than any other place in this forum. The "Windows cannot access \\NETWORKSHARE" problem has returned. I don't know how, but somehow the problem has returned in the last few days.Basically, all other computers can access this computer, but not the other around. The other computers' OSes were: Linux Mint, Windows 10 Pro, and Windows 7 Ultimate. Here's what I tried: Entering any and all variations of NETWORK SHARE names possible, including share names IP address including file folders with share names including file folders with IP addresses Enabling and disabling SMB/CIFS 1.0 protocols. Pinging the other computers; that worked, so I know the connections are right. While isolating the Windows 11 problem, the other computers can communicate with each other. I've added this point to ensure that all other computers are still working. Checking for allowing the insecure logins option; I initially allowed this because that's how my W11 computer can communicate with the others. That options has not changed. Installing new drivers to ensure that things are going right. That didn't help and was a waste of time. Since the last few days, I recall installing new Windows updates and updating my Gigabyte DS3H motherboard firmware. Also, the other computers can communicate with this computer, just not the other way around. The last thing I'll try is to rewipe everything, but i don't want to do that just yet. That would take too much time for now, I hope to leave that for last. I've seen many Youtube videos saying that I should delete XYZ directory and/or change something in the registry. The error is 0x80004005. I don't know that error, but when I read online, it had something to do with Windows Updates. What the f*ck is going on? OK, that's all I can reveal for the moment. Back to bending more rules in the book. Thank you in advance.
Then this would be the place to be [DISCUSSION] Windows 11 Enterprise/IoT Enterprise (N) LTSC 2024 (24H2 / 26100.x)
