From my experience: 1. the more number of the edition, the more updates MS gives, the more problems and bugs u will get 2. u will get more headache, 3. spend more times to solve the problem by asking, complaining, and... 4. downloading the newest edition which will give u more problems and bugs, and then u will get more headache... 5. Finally u will start over again from number 3 U will get berak berak
Windows 11 23H2, is due this fall—though without major changes so what you see in next few months is what you get. So, looks like soon Windows 12 be in development.
Build 23403.1001 just got installed on my system, which is in the Dev channel. I did have build 22624.1391. It installed like a fresh install, but retained my Apps and settings. First time a new build has done that on my system for a long time... Also, this turned up on my desktop...
February 6. 2023 MSFT changed the channels, dev channel now is offering test versions of the next win 11 (234xx), dev channel builds now are called Canary channel builds (continuing 25xxx builds).
After Windows 11 being stuttering for 2 years now on my Dell XPS 9310 2in1 4K, I gave up and clean installed Win10 again from latest official 19045 ISO + reinstalled and configured everything exactly like I had on Win11. Well, the system is literally flying now, with always smooth animations at 60hz (especially in W10 Tablet Mode) and I also have much better values on ThrottleStop (like 4x less PKG Power average watts, much better C0% usage in idle and higher frequency on load + much better battery life too). I think Win10 is a keeper as long as it will last. I really doubt at this point that Microsoft will create something more optimized than that both with future version of Win11 and 12, especially on the same hardware...
