It's new version of windows. That's why you not find many features that was in Windows 10, if you looking for.
Is it possible to change the ugly fat font used on sign-in screen or the equally unpleasant black shutdown screen background? Thanks
Oh, come on dude! you are asking for a way to change the ugly fat font on sign-in screen, by writing in an UGLY FAT FONT!!! So, "testing" is not "using" ?
What's wrong with it? Old tweak from Win 7 days I think (Login Screen Font). Have you tried it? On your head be it. Code: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes MS Shell Dlg MS Shell Dlg 2 Input the name of the font you want to use c:\Windows\Fonts for a list of currently installed fonts.
I agree with Murphy78 about the right click menu change. Microsoft has a history of taking a feature that was easy to use and turn it into one that is harder to use. They do this for the sake of change and not because of improvement. In addition, from the beginning of Microsoft they have had it in their minds that they were smarter than others who were not in Microsoft. Because they were smarter, their ideas were right and everybody else's ideas were wrong.
I think the narrative that MS is expressing through the context menu and other changes in the UI is that they are catering to the general crowd, they are dumbing it down (yet again) by asking themselves: "What does the average Joe need to do (and how do we hide more powerful features from them)?" But this time the change is so far-reaching that I feel it may even negatively impact the way average Joe uses Windows, and also impact the usual workaround that power-users would come up with. I mean, right-click context is pretty basic level functionality, it is a huge gamble to be messing with that. There should be a simple method (even if through reg tweak actually) that turns modern right-click context menu off, which would make sense especially considering that the classic context menu remains intact, so there should be a direct access to that somehow. I will cal Win11: Win10-GlamShell
