After you are done with the update you can reconnect and you will get updates for now.... no one knows what will happen after Oct 5th.

You will get cumulative updates for now, but we don't know what the future holds. If you bypassed the system requirements, you might not get cumulative updates sometime after general availability.

Most likely, 22000 will continue to get cumulative updates until its end of life 24-36 months from now (24 for Home/Pro, 36 for Enterprise/Education), but upgrades to new builds will probably have to be installed manually if you bypassed the system requirements.

I think they are NOT going to declare a final version. There will instead just be updates on a needs basis, and security fixes. Most people are not getting the taskbar problem. Personal opinion, but I bet they are rolling out 22000.194 without any problem to machines in stores. it just simply works for that function.

I have to agree with this comment! I will also add the following. Being an IT administrator I will not be upgrading any of my sites with windows 11 for production till another 6 months plus!!!. we will still need to see what happens with this whole fiasco of TPM2.0. not every machine / device supports it. We will be testing it in VMs for a while to make sure its stable and usable for production first.

They probably won't, but they will have to sell a version and that version will be the version that we call the final version or rtm. They have to sign off on using a specific version and I very much doubt they will sign off on using the version that has a nasty taskbar bug. Again, many people will be buying this product and they won't have internet access. I know it's hard to fathom for many of us who use the internet constantly, but not everyone lives in advanced countries with constant internet access. Some people buy systems and have them delivered and never connect to the internet at all. They activate over the phone.

Well 24 hours since permanently moving across onto unsupported hardware with 22000.194 clean install. Now we all hate change, but if one realises change happens and goes with the flow, Windows 11 is really not that much different to Windows 10. Still some very small glitches (like I used the search function for the command prompt but it wouldn't respond when it found it and gave me the link), BUT like any operating system there is always another way around such glitches to get them working (which I found) so no biggie. Basically a smooth transition, although the new cut and paste method takes a little getting used to.

So overall, dont know why all the fuss over Windows 11. its Windows 10.1 or Windows 10-PLUS to novices like me. it works fine and one get used to it quickly.

Just did a clean install of Windows 11, 22000.194 build. Seems to be working fine on my laptop without any issues so far. Feels like it's smoother than Windows 10 21H1 that it just replaced. Adobe Acrobat 2021 and Photoshop 2021 also works fine on it.
