No, uupdump will only create the base edition, converted from Pro any "additional" apps will need original Windows 11 SE ISO
So this needs a Ms acount and can if understand right only be activated with kms tool like KMS_VL_ALL_AIO ?
There is indeed a C:\ drive on Windows 11 SE. (thats where all your allowed programs get installed to anyway) You cant see it in your beloved explorer though. It is NOT there. But installing a tool like winrar for example, enables you to browse all folders on the C:\ drive normally. (Program, Files, Windows, System32) Copy and paste files or create new folders. Some folders are still protected and some tools and apps will hand out errors on installation, as they couldnt acces this and that...but the programs will run anyway. The store wont (really) run on Windows 11 SE, as it is blocked. For some reason, if you are fast enough after the bootup process, you CAN access the store shortly. Regarding "Microsoft Education", the Setup.exe as direct download will install and run just fine in Windows 11 SE. By now I havent come across 1 app/game/tool that wouldnt install, so I guess it is all about beeing the admin account here and there arent official, uhm ,regulations ? (see examples above)
5 months later, the announced "Windows 11 SE" devices are still mostly available in the USA, but/or either "Out of stock" or "backordered". Though, some made it out of the USA by now, to the UK for example. Some of the SE devices that were meant to be released by others (Acer, ASUS, Fujitsu etc.) are either only available with "Windows 11 Pro" or not yet released. I read that "more might happen around june 2022", when most of the bigger Educational Gatherings/Events begin. Either Microsoft or resellers dont make it very easy to get your hands on it as a school from outside of the USA. Even additional informations on "how to purchase" arent widely spread (yet). Most tests say it is running Minecraft Education perfectly (well, most 10 year old devices can do that) and that browsing and Office are no problems. But, also because of the restrictions, noone (could) test(ed) it using Benchmarks or Video Streaming. By now I tested it on one 11 year old laptop: (Pentium B940 (2C) + Intel HD Graphics 2000 + SSD + 4GB DDR3 RAM) and surfing as well as youtube is indeed working okay (up to 1080p) once it calmed down from its 4GB RAM problem. Heaven Benchmark (DX11) can be installed and started with 4 FPS. So, a Celeron N4120 and Intel UHD 600 with 8GB of DDR4 RAM should make some difference here on the slim Windows 11 SE. Hence I believe these laptops could be indeed a nice school device. (if purchased in masses, for less the 249$ each, that is) Anyone here got his hands on an official SE Laptop by now and could share some Benchmarks, youtube experience etc. ? I read different reviews on reddit, xda and others sites by now, but maybe someone here is into this as well ?
good grief. store "engine" is still there. how do you think ltsc gets dch driver uwp panels? WindowsStore AutoDownload "2" policy is the one for ltsc to prevent those panels from automatic downloading and installing
