Yep, seems the Free Rescue Kit is different . Info is a bit outdated, current version would be 14 for HD Manager Suite.
Hello, yes i am PS: I'm also interested with the full version of Paragon Hard Disk Manager Suite 14 as i only found the demo version in french. Thx to u.
It is bit confusing. P2P adjust only comes with winpe of paid versions. It also comes with the linux iso ( but not winpe ) in the free rescue kit 14. Boot the linux iso ( use the correct bit version - both are supplied). Select Normal Mode>boot corrector. @Atari, very easy to put paragon stuff into any pe. I just had a go with the rescue kit. Copy the "program" folder into your winpe\program files , rename it paragon or whatever. You need to make sure these are in the "program" folder ( usually they are now - older versions had them in system32 ): wnaspi32.dll msvcp100.dll msvcr100.dll qtp-mt334.dll That's it. Point at launcher.exe or explauncher.exe with whatever you use to make shortcuts in pe. I use pecmd for that, and for just about everything in pe.
Nice tip ... seems to work here. Gathered the mentioned files from system32 folder of the mounted boot.wim of the Paragon PE and copied them into the program folder. Test from Win8.1SE looks promising . Spoiler Indeed cool . Although it is showing a Task List error 'refresh ... failed' it's working in my tests. Tried the Disk to Virtual Container Backup and the normal one on my main machine from Win8.1SE usb. So far created a new VM attaching this VMDK. Booted the machine via Win8.1ISO and performed a StartUp Repair .... voila my main OS is running in VM. Will test now to restore the full backup to this VM . EDIT: ULTIMATE TEST SCENARIO . Restored backup of my physical machine to VM and performed a P2P OS Adjust and StartUp Repair ... and the system started in VM, no yellow exclamation marks in device manager shown.
Will try also ASAP when i'll get the prog Paragon Hard Disk Manager Suite 14, but can't find it at the moment
When using a function you first configure the settings, after closing the wizard before i 'Apply' the changes the error pops up. Little Window named 'Task List' reports that it was unable to refresh. Does still perform the task itself without further errors.
Not sure what causes that refreshh error. I recall getting it on some of my early hand built pe attempts. Haven't had it for a long while. Must be something missing for your pe build. Atari: ( My paragon program is in x:\program files\PAR ) Pecmd.ini Code: //START EXPLAUNCHER HOTK Ctrl + Alt + p,X:\Program Files\PAR\explauncher.exe //START RECENV HOTK Ctrl + Alt + r,X:\sources\recovery\RecEnv.exe // Back to Explorer // pecmd.exe [command] OR pecmd.exe TEAM [COMMAND1]|[COMMAND2|[COMMAND3] HOTK Ctrl + Alt + e,PECMD.EXE TEAM KILL RecEnv.exe|WAIT 1000|KILL explorer.exe //OR LINK %Desktop%\HDM,x:\Program Files\PAR\explauncher.exe,,x:\Program Files\PAR\launcher.ico LINK %Startmenu%\Paragon\BootCorrect,x:\Program Files\PAR\bootcorrect.exe,,SHELL32.DLL#263 LINK %Startmenu%\Paragon\P2PAdjust,x:\Program Files\PAR\P2PAdjust.exe,,SHELL32.DLL#263 LINK %Startmenu%\Paragon\P2PAnalysis,x:\Program Files\PAR\P2PAnalysis.exe,,SHELL32.DLL#263 LINK %Startmenu%\Paragon\Backup,x:\Program Files\PAR\backup.exe,,SHELL32.DLL#263 LINK %Startmenu%\Paragon\NEWBackup,x:\Program Files\PAR\newbackup.exe,,SHELL32.DLL#263 LINK %Startmenu%\Paragon\Restore,x:\Program Files\PAR\restore.exe,,SHELL32.DLL#263 LINK %Startmenu%\Paragon\NEWRestore,x:\Program Files\PAR\newrestore.exe,,SHELL32.DLL#263
Not sure why paragon does that. I haven't noticed, maybe because I haven't launched Paragon after mounting a virtual drive. Perhaps it is "expected behaviour". I will have a look next time I boot up pe. Pecmd does everything. No need for for a separate shortcut maker, or hotkey setup, or shutdown thingy,it will do reg entries/deletions, install drivers, register dll/ocx,etc. It also supports explorer. Very handy to use pecmd kill explorer.exe. That refreshes everything.
The 'Refresh Option Failed' error fortunately only appears when running Paragon from the ISO in VM, it doesn't show up when running from usb-pen .
Two ways to use pecmd in pe. 1) Start with winpeshl as cmdline as usual. Put this in winpeshl.ini Code: [LaunchApps] "Pecmd.exe Main %SystemDrive%\Windows\System32\Pecmd.ini" pecmd.exe goes in pe system32. pecmd.ini is also in pe system 32. Pecmd .exe will load pecmd.ini and carry out the commands. Simple example: pecmd.ini Code: _SUB OSD //SET RESOLUTION ANYTHING AFTER // IS IGNORED, LIKE REM IN BATCH FILE DISP W1024 H768 B32 F60 //CALL UP ANY WALLPAPER DURING LOADING LOGO %Windir%\Web\Wallpaper\Windows\img1.jpg EXEC wpeinit.exe //TEXT CONTINUES TO END OF SUB IF YOU PUT * TEXT SIW2 PE4x64 WELCOME...
