    Windows Server 2016 supports audio. You just need to simply activate it, see here windowsworkstation.com/win2016/enabling-sound/

    Yes it does (talking about 2019, not 1809 SAC core). The core versions of course do not. What'd you be doing with audio on a server without GUI?

    :eek::rolleyes:

    Hello all,

    Does Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2019 need activation or it is free?

    Regards,

    No, it is based on Server Core - you can use the Windows Admin Center with it though.

    I was going to add my own gui to the core version, but without audio that's a no go.

    What would you gain from that? (As in, why not just use Windows 10)

    The 2019 version already does have a GUI. Adding your own seems like an extreme waste of time.

    It's using SLIC 2.5 to activate. If anyone got the existing marker generating tool, the new version of oatool.exe can be found in Windows 10 ADK 1809.

    What else do you need but the client side's Hyper-V console ? :p
    Server side's sconfig panel is sufficient to configure everything you have to on the server : domain, firewall, network, updates and remote management. ;)

    In Windows Server 2019, how do I enable the "Enable-ClusterStorageSpacesDirect" cluster? I heard you need a registry key.
