System: Windows 10 1709 Professional (x64) Office Pro Plus 2016 (x64) I try to update Office 2016 using DISM, but cannot make it work. I am using .cab update file What i did: 1. Used link from WUMT to download the cab file (cannot post the link - forum rules) 2. Renamed the cab file to ABC.cab (for testing) and put it inside C drive "c:\ABC.cab" 3. Run cmd as admin 4. dism /online /add-package /packagepath:c:ABC.cab dism /online /add-package /packagepath:c:\ABC.cab dism /online /add-package /packagepath:"c:\ABC.cab" All of them give error The reason i want to use DISM method is I want to update Office 2016 on computer which doesn't have internet access Do i make something wrong on DISM syntax or Is there any other method. If DISM can work, then is it possible to update all the update-files by putting in one folder and used only one dism command.
Online I am not mounting anything at all. I just installed Office 2016 and found so many updates on Windows Update. So i decided to download each update file and install it using DISM. The same i want to do it to my other computer which do not have internet access. I am not sure whether my DISM command is right or wrong. Even i am not sure it is possible or not using dism /online ... to update on online system
Take a look at this automated Batch to integrate updates just put the cab in the same directory https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-10-hotfix-repository.57050/page-105#post-1216064
Yes..i guess Office does not use dism... I am very new to DISM.. Is there any easy method to update Office (provided I have all the update files). I am sick of installing one by one
