Display Image Files As Images In Windows Explorer

    There was a way in XP (blasted if I can find it now, it was a simple addition to the File Types command line) to have an image file display itself as the image in Windows Explorer DETAIL View - yes, you can still see the image in the Preview Pane if that is activated, but by default JPG files display as one icon, BMP files as another, PNG as another, etc. I would like to be able to have the icon be the image itself.

    Setting the view to medium or large icons does this, at least on my system.

    I tried to make it as clear and obvious as possible by putting it in all caps - DETAIL View.

    The nearest I've found is to set it to "Content" view which sort of displays details - well date and time modified on my system.
