It seems that this build has problems with Divx Web Player. I tried watching a Divx Clip in Firefox and Internet Explorer, resulting in an instant crash. Internet Explorer brought up a error page stating: Data Execution Prevention, to help protect your computer, Windows has closed this program. Can anyone else confirm they are having this issue...Thanks. Edit: Never Mind...Found the answer
upgrade to newer version of win 7 ....why ...ohh why go backwards ??? mine runs flawlessly in 7077 ......
Well, actually this is not simply related to the core i7 cpus. This issues seems to appear with every multicore cpu available at the market. My QX6800 is crashing as well when using the latest divx web player. So this is an issue of the web player itself having problems with multithreading and multicore cpus in general. Maybe they've been trying to implement some kind of multicore support into the web player and failed somehow. The only workaround is, as mentioned above, to use an older version of the web player hoping that there will be a new release that fixes the current issues. Greetz P.S.: I just wanted to mention that this issues still exists...
Webplayer RTM? Would be new to me, if there are any differences ^^ Just in case you're talking about using a Windows7 RTM build then i'm sorry to disappoint you. I am using Win7 Ultimate RTM build This issue is related to the webplayer itself and has not been resolved for a very long time now. Greetz
