I have a Gateway NV52 with a Phoenix bios, and all my advanced bios options are missing. I can do a couple basic things, but most of the functionality is gone. It turns out that this is a really common thing, and I haven't been able to find any solution outside of a modded bios. However, it sounds like there is a small, but distinct possibility of bricking my laptop if I do this. It's funny, because the only two things I really want to do are enable my bluetooth module and disable this shriek that happens every time I unplug it or plug it back in (Neither of which is possible anywhere but bios). Is there any way to get a complete bios menu without doing a flash, or should I just go ahead and request a modded bios?
