I find that a bit hard to believe, who was it recommended by? Can you link me to the post where they suggest it?
@ ian82, why did you not just restore registry with jv16 Power Tools or was this user error you did not let it save registry backup when asked ?
I know that's my fault, I trusted it because of what I read on the Kaspersky Forums I will dig up that post give me some time
I used jv16 Power Tools for years but have since moved on to Auslogics Registry Cleaner (it's Free) doesn't matter which one you use you still need to have an rough idea of what you can and can't delete.
They find 100s of entries man... most of which I have no clue what they are so Im better off leaving the registry as it is don't you think?
