Hey I would like to know if the final ISOs of Windows 8 differ from RTM versions and I am wondering when will I be able to get them?

The ISO I got from the upgrade app has the following hashes:
    CRC32: A712541A
    MD5: 90234789CA1751894E6E689E34A50CA8
    SHA-1: 177ED4C1341384EA725C00A3DC3549A201961DCA

and is 2.69 GB (2,896,756,736 bytes)

And it should be Win 8 Pro 64bit. I used windows 7 ultimate 64 bit to download it.

    Apparently yes. I bought 2 en_us versions, 32 and 64 bit PRO
    32 bit = 2,177,408 KB (2,229,665,792 bytes)
    64 bit = 2,828,864 KB (2,896,756,736 bytes)
Did not check the hashes yet, I'll try to post later
I tried clean install in VM and worked for both!
BTW, the ei.cfg trick also works, you can skip the key; however I did not try to activate because it was in VM
I think they are smaller because it defaults to PRO only (no CORE option)

    edit: size in bytes

I don't see any reason why KMS should not work. As any version off RTM is final, there are no differences and all work the same.

Final ISOs are released, the question was why do the isos you download with the upgrade promo differ in size from the MSDN ones. I am assuming they don't include as many languages or something.

Intersting I read on another site to do a clean install with the upgrade promo key you need to use the MSDN iso.

Can any of you guys here share the direct download link to Windows 8 Pro Retail ISO please? The one that is available today. I have a legal Windows 8 key (bought for me by my sister in Canada) but the country where I live I cannot download retail iso using Windows8-Setup.exe.

I doubt there will be any direct source links. So just wait for hints. And I doubt there will be any Direct links to ISOs, only torrent ones.

As mentioned, it only contains the Pro WIM file, but not the Core WIM file. Therefore, smaller.

Are they actually creating different ISO's for the download upgrade option for each client? My ISO was also downloaded using Win 7 ultimate 64 bit English and the checksums differ from yours as follow
    File: Windows.iso
    CRC-32: 0df216e9
    MD4: 2cf3f25c40d0a8617be20c30ec0b86d1
    MD5: e9929b8f96528e88e57ff64f2d689c0b
    SHA-1: ee75f11472445aab483518a3d0798ca7d21f03e4
    Size: 2.69 GB (2,896,756,736 bytes)

DonĀ“t forget, that the Iso you downloaded is only an upgrade. And upgrades are smaller than full Iso.

I bought my upgrade today and used the promotional code. So, I paid for it $ 14.00.
Windows 7 installed only today activated with loader and upgrade worked fine.
Now I will try to make a clean install and activate with the key I recieved.

New upgrade ISO is smaller not larger. Also Windows ISO only include incremental updates in the Service Pack versions
