When I last had 7989 a few weeks ago or so, I don't think I recall seeing a EFI folder. Was wondering if this build of windows had the folder or not, or if there was any hope of having EFI on 7989.

yeah, because x86 builds adress only 3GB RAM and dont need EFI becuase usual BIOS wich is also 32-bit adress also 3GB RAM. x64 builds need EFI to use more than 4GB RAM without BIOS module tricks.

uhh, no. x86 builds can address up to 3.25gb of ram, and 2.2tb hdd space. uefi or bios x64 can address up to 192gb. The difference here is that uefi can have more than 2.2tb hdd space on a single partition.

Only because of the GPT partition scheme that has to be used in UEFI, compared to the MBR scheme used by default.
