Or is it restricted to WD HDDs/SSDs only?

I read that it also supports GPT disks whereas the standard Acronis True Image be it 2011 or 2013 dont support GPT disks out of the box without purchasing an the media add on pack

I have been using ATIH for WD free for close to 2 years and I can attest that it works great, and works on UEFI too.
One only needs one WD hard disk for it to work. It does not matter if it is a boot or not. I previously used ATIH-WD on WD boot device and no problems. Since June 2012, my boot device is an Intel SSD, and Acronis WD works at making disk images without a problem. If you do not have an internal one, please connect an external WD one before running the program. If ACRONIS-wd does not detect any WD devices (external or internal), it may not run.
