Here: It's the last file in the list. drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B7k-l_4omFECNWRGNHBEdVBsTTA&usp=sharing Ignore the SP4 WU fix, since that's only for SP4 3.1a; Harkaz (the developer of XP SP4) has updated all the files to version 3.1b, which includes this patch. Basically, this updates your system to have every single XP update (just uninstall what you don't want, because it also installs WMP 11, .NET Frameworks and Internet Explorer 8) and gives you the POSReady 2009 updates too. For more info on it, go to the forum post on MSFN (I hope MDL doesn't mind me linking to other forums...): msfn.org/board/topic/171171-introducing-unofficial-windows-xp-sp4/
I use XP x64 on two boxes daily. Also have a win 7 64 box, but I dont rely on it. And Mint, DOS and win98.
Yes, one of my computer is still on XP. It still works okay and I don't see or notice any problems whatsoever. It was actually my favorite because I can handle it well compare to Windows 10.
Better to boot in XP than not at all I keep XP Pro on a separate partition just in case Windows 7 doesn't boot. Its better to boot-up in XP than not boot at all. If I'm pressed for time, I can continue my work from within XP until I fix the issue with Windows 7. On a hi-res monitor, XP allows me to use higher than display-monitor native resolutions (as long as the video card supports them) without any issue. Windows 7 does not allow for higher than native resolutions. With lower than native resolutions XP still fills the screen, while windows 7 shrinks the screen size size to something unusable (I think they fixed this part in W10).
I tried one of these hacks to make my installation appear as a POS machine, but it failed to update anything. Windows 7 for better or worse, is more secure and stable, but I still respect XP. I
I don't know which one you used but I have used this one and it works like a charm. Spoiler Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA\PosReady] "Installed"=dword:00000001
Nope no longer use it but I still have 3 retail copies of it I can't even give them away. However I still have friends who use it.
There are a handful of XP machines that I have to use at work. I've pretty much gone to Linux for everything, so no real need for XP. Well... except for maybe a gaming machine (Diablo II LOD, Warcraft, Command & Conquer...).
I use XP for games that may work odd in 7 or 10, or just flat out won't work in 7 or 10. Also great for testbed situations that require me to install something and I won't install it on my laptop to keep it clean. And various other things. If it ain't broke, don't fixp it.
yes i still use xp in my core i7 2700k and core i7 6700k. Both of them boot up in less than 8second. both of them have 16gb of ram with ram patch (Fix128 + My mod) 7/8.1/10 cannot beat my XP . It is faster than 7/8.1/10/of coarse old os likE 2000. Peoples saying they are more secure with 7/8.1/10. I filling sorry but search temetry spyware of windows 7 /8.1/10 , surely it will give you a heart attack if you keep some important things in your pc. XP is OLD still it is GOLD. XP IS THE BEST MS OS EVER MADE
