Does the MS Activation centre close on a Sunday??

    A mate of mine has contacted me to say that he's having problems contacting the MS Activation Centre - he's from the UK and he is using the UK number on skype to phone - when he phones, he's allowed to put in his installation ID but then it says it can't be verified it then puts him on hold then cuts off.

    Are they open on a Sunday?

    What I heard is skype still uses real people as operators, and Sunday's are alway tight on hands. :laie:

    If he was chatting with an operator, why would he ask if it was open or not ? If someone answered, of course its open

    After message of not verified system transfer call to support & during that time call got disconnected... This what i understand he is trying to say & thinking that today its off for support...

    If he didn't use an Region Limited version, he could activate via any Activation Center of MS worldwide. As at the moment there isn't Region limit's because 8.1 isn't sold officially yet! So, there shouldn't be a problem.

    About 2 weeks ago, I reinstalled Win 7 on a friends' system and had to activate by phone, 100% legal key. I got the same "cold not be verified" and the call got cut off. I called right back and it went through just fine. BTW this was the USA.

    Just got back from my mates house - He's allowed to enter in his installation ID but then gets a message to say that it can't be verified and to hold the line - a message is then played saying - if your are an MSDN or Technet customer then please contact them. And that's it, it just cuts off after that message :mad:

    That means the key is BLOCKED.
