Fully activated. I noticed Windows Update searches forever, is it simply not ready? Also some drivers require updates from the web but complain they cannot connect... Not sure what the deal on that is :/ I know I can install .net where a previous post stated, but it concerns me that the system doesn't respond to connect. (it's tying to install .net 2 and 3 for my Rapid Storage Driver) "Windows could not connect to the internet to download necessary files. Make sure that you're connected to the internet and click Retry to try again. Error: 0x800F0906
Yea I used RTM, that worries me even more now Let me try then to install the LAN driver next, maybe the included windows drives are messing me up.. otherwise I can't imagine what's up.
only thing that you will see until October is defender updates, windows update isn't sending updates (afaik) to an operating system that doesn't come out until October. Sounds like you might need to go to your NIC card or WiFi card manufacturer and look for updated drivers. -ed- wow yall post fast hehe
windows update working fine here, updated display driver, defender definitions and ms office 2013 hotfixes after clean install.
the first update search ends up in loading forever. reboot your machine and the next time it will work there are hardware driver related updates and windows defender yet. for the driver updates i would double check if i want to install, they are mostly outdated.
Enterprise 8.1 RTM (clean install, not activated yet), got updates for Office 2013 Pro Plus and Visual C++ 2005, 2008 & 2010 Redistributable Packages
I installed x64 Pro RTM, there were 3 updates available. The Nvidia audio driver, Windows Defender update and a driver for a PCI Express LPT card I have. That was it, hope that helps.
I installed over top of my Windows 8 Pro. Activated Windows 8.1 Pro with the key I purchased. Windows Update did not work at first. When it gave an error I clicked to run the wizard and it repaired Windows Update for me. The only update was Windows Defender.
