I have a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo XA 2528, and according to Speccy I have this BIOS: www(dot)imagelodge(dot)net/imgs/xlr8/biosc5u.jpg I tried many BIOS/CMOS cleaners, password viewers etc.(even DOS ones) and none of them helped.Only one showed something which i couldn't understand at all: www(dot)imagelodge(dot)net/imgs/xlr8/decryptrw4.jpg I tried clearing the CMOS with CMOS De-Animator, but even afterwards the password was still there. So if anyone has even a tip, please post it.Thanks.
Yeah, tried those already.Though AWARD was merged with Phoenix in 1996, so i may try one of the Award BIOS passwords.
Have you tried this? "Boot Dos to prompt; At the C:\> prompt, type: DEBUG and hit Enter. You'll see a dash (-) at the DEBUG prompt. Now type: o 70 2e which will show as -o 70 2e at the DEBUG prompt. Hit Enter. Then type: o 71 ff and hit Enter. Finally type: Q and hit Enter one last time, to quit DEBUG, back to the C:\> prompt. Now reboot!" These commands have saved me more than a few times. There are more, that I do not know by heart. I found these quickly today at annoyances.org If you have not gotten it fixed later, when I get home this eve., I'll check my files for the other commands and post 'em up.
????? I thought you were talking about a locked/passworded BIOS? The BIOS is in the EEPROM and if it's password protected- that's where the password is. Are you talking about a locked BIOS that requires a password to get in? Or are you talking about a OS account login password?
I'm saying that whenever i try to boot up/get in the BIOS, a little window pops up with the prompt for the BIOS password.
