Hey, I have a HP pavilion DV6700 laptop, with me... actually, it's one of my friend's... Now the problem is, the laptop is not being turn on... He told he had gone out keeping the laptop on AC power downloading songs... He returned and shut down the laptop... now the laptop is not being on... Pressing power button just the lights on the keyboard panel is being powered, nothing else is happening...... What could be the problem. May any one tell...And what is the solution though......
Try this: unplug the rig from DC, pull off battery, push power button of laptop... then replace the battery, hook it to DC to charge it (say for an hour) unplug the rig from DC and fire it up then tell us what happenned
Thanks for quick rply... I just trying that, and left the laptop to charge BEFORE writing this post....... I will inform what happens....... thanks again... but what is the problem anyway??????????
Guys that didn't work... till now, the laptop is not being turn on..... Lastly, my friend decided to leave it till his exam ends, and then he will go to service center... now???????????????? I've came to know that he had the same problem earlier...And that had been repaired also at the service center, but they didn't tell then that what happened, so he don't know how that had been repaired....and what exactly the problem is... plz help guys............
remove battery and keep it away from lap top: then plug DC charger in wall outlet and with voltmeter measure it. If you have proper voltage, plug in into lap top else replace charger. try to power on. If it is work everything is OK except battery.
if you must clean memory module and slot: take white paper and fold them. then clean the slot. you will see the paper will be dark. then use rubber and clean memory (only contact area which was in slot) don't push hard, clean both sides. then with small brush clean rubber from memory.
It's motherboard fault...as R29k said... Exactly...He gave that to the service center without informing me..they are returning that after 2 weeks.. They said the integrated graphics card problem... Thanks dude....
